Matt Cahill

Matt retired in May of 2019 after 26 years as a Medic in the Army and is a rated disabled OIF Veteran. Matt is very passionate about doing whatever is necessary to end the suicides that plague the Veteran community & provide treatment to those that suffer from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Matt has lost too many friends to suicide and believes in this form of therapy.

Melissa Cahill

Melissa & Matt have been married for 15 years. Melissa is a Registered Nurse (RN) currently working in the hospital setting. Melissa is certified in Advanced Cardiac Life-Support (ACLS) and is a clinically trained Nurse Preceptor. Melissa is dedicated to both the physical and mental wellness of her patients. As an Army wife of a combat Veteran, Melissa has witnessed first hand the devastating effects of PTSD. But she has also witnessed amazing therapeutic benefits of equine assisted therapy. That is why V.E.T.S. is so important—it’s personal.
